About Me

Rebecca practices as a Senior Associate at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers in the litigation team, with a practice focused on intellectual property law, media/defamation law and competition law.

She has also worked (and continues to work) on a variety of matters in a diverse range of areas including intellectual property, corporations law, building and construction law, energy and resources law, property law and contractual disputes, including large-scale disputes and pro bono matters.

Having completed her studies at Flinders University in 2010, achieving both a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honours) degree and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree, Rebecca was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2011. She has also been admitted to practice in the High Court and Federal Courts. In July 2015 she completed her Masters Degree, specialising in Applied Commercial Litigation through College of Law.

Rebecca is an Executive Member of the Law Society of South Australia (LSSA) as well as a Metropolitan Member of the LSSA Council and a member of the LSSA Ethics and Practice Committee and Corporate Governance Committee.

She is a member of the Board of Spence Club Inc.

Rebecca was a participant (scholarship recipient) in the 2014-15 SHE Leads Program run by the YWCA of Adelaide and is currently a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, the Spence Club, the YWCA of Adelaide, the Women Lawyers Association of South Australia and the Golden Key Honour Society.

Other memberships that Rebecca holds are the YWCA Nominations Committee, the Women Lawyers Association of South Australia Committee and the LSSA Gender Equity Working Group and Privacy Law Working Group. She was a member of the LSSA MCPD Regulatory Committee prior to the disbandment of that Committee as well as previously holding the roles of Chair and the Deputy Chair of the LSSA Women Lawyers’ Committee.
