About Me

Maryanne Dever is a Professor and Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Technology Sydney. She has previously held academic positions at the University of Sydney, the University of Hong Kong and Monash University where she was Director of the Centre for Women’s Studies & Gender Research. She was President of the Australian Women’s and Gender Studies Association (AWGSA) 2006-2010.

Her research covers archival studies and feminist literary and cultural history. She has on-going research interests in the area of gender, work and higher education and has published internationally on women’s and gender studies.
