Jodi Pritchard

Dr. (Chinese Medicine)

About Me

I have always been passionate about health and wellness with the aim of preventing disease using a holistic, natural approach wherever possible.

My passion for Chinese medicine grew from my own first-hand experiences over a ten-year period, living and working in Asia as a senior marketing executive for a global event company. Operating at the highest levels with extensive travel throughout Asia, Chinese medicine and acupuncture ensured that I could maintain peak performance without compromising my health and at times, my sanity!

In 2010, after a decade in Asia, I returned to Australia and, inspired by my experiences and the desire for a career change, I undertook study at the Southern School of Natural Therapies, Melbourne, achieving a Bachelor of Health Science and qualifying as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine. I am registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and am a Member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).

I am particularly interest in the Chinese medicine philosophy of treating the root of a disease or ailment, as opposed to the symptoms, especially its ability to support the body’s natural healing ability to restore it to a natural state of balance.

My passion is treating anxiety and insomnia, women’s health, digestive issues and children. I do so using a range of Chinese medicine tools such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, gua sha, and moxibustion. I also use laser acupuncture for young children and needlephobes.
