About Me

Leanne is a descendant of the Dhulanyagen Ulupna Clan, of the Yorta Yorta nations. Director,  Koorie Women Mean Business. Adviser, Indigenous Participation, BP Australia recipient – Inaugural Atlantic Fellowship for Social Equity (2017/18). She is Chairperson, Outback Academy Australia Pty Ltd. Director Victorian Womens Trust and Dugdale Trust for Women and Girls.

Current member Ministerial Council on Womens Equality, to which she brings her advocacy and networks as an Australian Aboriginal Women at the United Nations, New York,  within three separate UN Convention sittings. As well as undertaking UN Fellows in Geneva and New York. She was also selected as an Australian Government NGO Delegate, United Nations Convention on the Status of Women (2010). National Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Women’s Gathering, Working Group, Chairperson 2009, 2010 to 2011.
