About Me

Annette is the Executive Producer of acclaimed Australian contemporary dance company Lucy Guerin Inc. She manages the financial and strategic aspects of the organisation, including fundraising growth and stakeholder relationships.

Annette is committed to supporting innovative and challenging artistic practices, political advocacy for the Arts, and skills and resource sharing endeavours. She is on the Board of Theatre Network Australia, a Green Room Award panelist for the Contemporary and Experimental panel, and an active member international arts networks such as IETM and ISPA. Annette regularly consults as a peer assessor and is a member of the Media and Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA), and EMILY’s List.

Annette’s career in arts management and cultural leadership began in 2005 when she was Festival Director of Sydney Mardi Gras. Since then she has undertaken communication or producing roles for companies including Malthouse Theatre, Arena Theatre Company, Next Wave Festival, Emerging Writers’ Festival and National Theatre London. As a dramaturg, Annette documented and published theatre rehearsal processes for Arts Council England, National Theatre London, Ontological-Hysteric Theatre (New York) and Northern Stage (UK).

Qualifications

First-class degrees in MA Literature (Theatre Studies) - University of Newcastle upon Tyne and BA Hons (Performance Studies/Art History and Theory) - University of Sydney
