About Me

Anne Buist is a Professor of Women’s Mental Health at the University of Melbourne and Austin Health. She has nearly 30 years of clinical and research experience in perinatal psychiatry. She ran mother-baby units for 25 years and was director of the Beyondblue PND program. She now sees abuse and perinatal forensic cases for Protective Services and the courts.

Since 2015 she has worked part-time writing psychological thrillers, published in Australia with Text publishing. Her joint novel with author husband Graeme Simsion, a romantic comedy set on the Camino de Santiago, will be released in October 2017.
