About Me

Fiona currently works full-time as the Chief Operating Officer of BBC Worldwide ANZ. In this role Fiona is responsible for strategy, business development operations and legal. Prior to joining BBC Worldwide, Fiona worked both at Herbert Smith Freehills and Gilbert & Tobin as a corporate lawyer specialising in mergers and acquisitions and corporate advisory.

Fiona Lang is an experienced and qualified board member, having served on the board of the not-for-profit company, Women For Election Australia. This entity aims to address the low participation of women in elected office and leadership positions through training and development programs.

Fiona is a mentor of The Women’s College Sydney University Mentor Program and has worked with The Dream Collective on several initiatives. She is often invited to speak at conferences addressing the needs of women in leadership roles in corporations.

In 2016, Fiona was appointed to the Board of UN Women National Committee Australia.
