About Me

Alicia Renew has a diverse creative and professional practice as a curator, producer and artistic director. Alicia received a Bachelor of Visual Art, majoring in Art Theory from Monash University in 2010 and a Master of Art Curatorship at the University of Melbourne in 2013. She is Artistic Director of Channels Festival and Program Manager at MUMA – Monash University Museum of Art. Before starting at Channels, Alicia was on the 2014–15 Curatorial Committee for Channels Festival and then Creative Producer – Exhibitions for Channels 2015. Previously she was the curator at MADA Gallery, Monash University. Curatorial projects include: Future Tense 2017; With Hidden Noise 2013, Live in Your Head 2012, The Social Life of Things 2012 and Media Specific 2011. Alicia completed an internship at the National Gallery of Victoria, in the Contemporary Art department for Melbourne Now in 2013 and has written for the NGV Magazine, Melbourne Now, MADA Gallery, Craft Victoria and Trocadero.
