About Me
Nevo Zisin is an activist, educator, public speaker and the author of Finding Nevo, a memoir on gender transition. Nevo engages in activism which attempts to spread awareness and understanding around LGBTIQA+ issues. Assigned female at birth, Nevo has had a complex relationship with gender, transitioning to present as male at the age of 17 and now identifying outside of a female / male gender binary. They have appeared on SBS Insight, Hack Live, One Plus One, The Morning Show and many radio interviews and articles discussing their complex relationship with gender. They run workshops and professional development in schools and workplaces around gender inclusivity. They are a contact point in the Jewish community for other children and families confronting issues of gender and sexuality in their own lives.
