About Me

Bridget is Head of Course Development at creative arts college, Collarts. She has lectured in Creative Writing, English Literature, Critical Thinking, Academic Writing, and Research Methods at a number of Victorian universities and institutes.

Bridget has a creative practice that encompasses writing and performance, she was awarded a full scholarship to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in London, and continues to appear in theatre, film and TV, music and radio productions in Australia and the UK.

As a researcher, Bridget is known internationally for her work on the intersection of writing and trauma. Her PhD examines creative emergence from trauma through creative writing. Bridget’s critical work is published in Hecate Journal by The University of Queensland, in TEXT Journal of Writing and Writing Courses by Australasian Association of Writing Programs (AAWP), by Inter-Disciplinary Press, UK, and by Brill Rodopi, a Dutch international academic publisher.
