About Me

Deborah is passionate and committed to working in partnership with organisations to learn about how to empower staff to work effectively and creatively with and for service users and each other. She loves learning about what works well and why.

Her extensive social work experience working in community mental health services for children, in child and family services, and as a researcher and organisational consultant informs her working relationships. She offers program evaluation, organisational consultancy, practice research and project work, supervision, training and professional development. Deborah’s particular interest is in cross program and sector partnerships, collaboration, teamwork building, specialist child and family work, and mental health policy, program development and practice. She has worked as a consultant with over 40 public and not-for-profit agencies.

Deborah has also worked with the Indigenous community, in tertiary social-work education, service development and mental health policy and program development. Deborah is an Honorary Research Fellow with the School of Social Work at the University of Melbourne and is passionate about practice research.
