About Me
Tori is a Melbourne doctor passionate about addressing social determinants of health and encouraging sustainable development, both within Australia and abroad. She is a director of the community health group Star Health, and the Midsumma Festival, an LGBTIQ arts and culture festival. Tori was involved in starting Youth on Board, encouraging young people to seek their first board position. She was formerly the Chair of the Australian Medical Students’ Association and remains keenly interested in the intersection between health and politics.
She is interested in the social determinants of health and co-founded Action for Health, a group advocating for youth engagement in civic issues, particularly on how we can change Melbourne’s infrastructure to promote health. Tori is also a part of the State Government’s Victorian Clinical Council and LGBTIQ Health and Human Services Working Group. Tori’s goal is to be an active participant in reducing inequities in health and to be engaged in doing so on multiple fronts, whether it be through clinical medicine, medical research, social policy or advocacy.
