Fleassy Malay

Performer, Author & Authentic Public Speaking Coach

About Me

Fleassy Malay is an internationally renowned, evocative and powerfully spoken word artist from the UK. Now based in Melbourne, Australia, she runs one of Melbourne’s most successful Spoken Word events, Mother Tongue. A passionate, powerful, vulnerable and honest speaker and performer whose words and courses leave a profound impression.

With a theatrical and yet deeply authentic speaking style, she is renowned for captivating her audiences. Her performance has the capacity to bring our minds to the deep, important and sometimes harrowing issues of our time whilst also inspiring an air of hope, empowerment and divine connection.

With presentations to empower and inspire, she focuses on the power of authentic communication, and courageous living to change not only our world but the world at large.

Her topics often centre around her personal experiences as a woman, a mother, her queer identity, eroticism, and spirituality. Her dry yet honest comedy style breaks up tension and unites both audience and performer.

Fleassy Malay has over 20 years of stage experience and half a decade of facilitation experience teaching her life-changing Authentic Public Speaking course, SpeakUP; not to mention an array of performance experience from award ceremonies to arts festivals. As an inspirational speaker, performer, facilitator, and MC, this woman knows how to engage, enliven and inspire.
