Feminist Researcher in Residence program

Building on decades of advocacy work, the Victorian Women’s Trust has launched a new research program: Feminist Researcher in Residence.

As the inaugural Researcher in Residence, Dr Elise Stephenson is currently examining the connection between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and gender. In October 2026, the Victorian Women’s Trust will publish Research Snapshot, Gender and AI: Where’s the Harm?, looking at the current AI policy landscape in Australia. Dr Stephenson’s residency will culminate in the release of a White Paper in 2027.
