For over forty years, the Victorian Women’s Trust has funded community grants, driven research, and run advocacy campaigns that advance the safety, dignity, and economic security of women, girls, and gender-diverse people. Behind every grant we’ve made and every partnership we’ve built is a simple belief: relationships are how long-term social change actually happens.

Now we’re looking for a Grants and Community Impact Manager to join our small, close-knit team, and support VWT to carry that work forward.

Why this role exists

We are a feminist grant-maker, a defining characteristic few funding bodies can claim. The person in this role will steward rewarding and collaborative relationships with our grantees, philanthropic partners and community organisations; lead the design and delivery of our annual grants program; contribute to fundraising through our grant funding stream; and shape how we measure and tell the story of our impact.

Just as importantly, they’ll be keeping an eye out for who isn’t in the room yet, particularly under-represented communities and women from regional areas. Widening the reach and impact of our grants program is as much a part of this role as running it well.

Who we’re looking for

We’re after someone who brings together feminist analysis and care. A keen observer, you notice social trends and growing areas of need, and you take the time to dig deeper and ask why. You’re motivated to find solutions to complex problems, whether that’s sorting out a team workflow, crafting a fundraising strategy, or developing a partnership with the potential for greater social impact.

Ideally, you’ll have experience leading grant-making, fundraising or community investment programs, and a real capability for stakeholder engagement and partnership development. Experience in impact measurement or social impact frameworks matters too, as does confidence with digital tools and grants or CRM systems. You don’t need to know our exact setup, but you should be comfortable learning new platforms quickly.

Above all, you bring a collaborative mindset, discretion, warmth, and good judgement to everything you do.
