Share with your networks: The Victorian Women’s Trust is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our small, hybrid Melbourne team.

It’s a part-time, ongoing position (3 days a week) for someone who finds genuine satisfaction in making organisations work well. If you’re the kind of person who notices when a process is broken and quietly fixes it, who brings warmth, discretion, and good judgement to everything from Board papers to supplier calls, we’d love to hear from you.

We believe in putting our values into practice

At VWT, we know that how we work is just as important as what we work on. That means our leave entitlements aren’t an afterthought; they reflect our genuine commitment to the people who work here.

We offer menstrual and menopausal leave, because we know that bodies are not all the same and workplaces should reflect that. We offer flexible hours for people with caring responsibilities, because we know that care work is real work. And we have a flexible public holiday policy, so staff have the choice to take a public holiday during NAIDOC Week, rather than Australia Day.

We prioritise balance through Wellbeing Leave, extra public holidays, and confidential access to an Employee Assistance Program, should you need it.

Who we’re looking for

You’re looking for a workplace that shares your values and does work that matters. Ours are a commitment to gender equality, intersectional feminist practice, and a genuine belief that structural change is possible.

You don’t need to have worked in a feminist organisation before, but you do need to bring experience in organisational administration, CRM systems, and financial administration, along with the autonomy and judgement to work effectively in a small team where roles overlap and flexibility is required.

We welcome applications from First Nations women and women of colour, and from people with lived experience of intersecting forms of discrimination. We know that feminist work is strongest when it reflects the full breadth of women’s lives, leadership, and knowledge.

If the role speaks to you, and you don’t meet the full criteria, we encourage you to apply anyway.

About the role

The Operations Coordinator is VWT’s central point of operational continuity. Working across operations, governance, grants, finance, communications, and CRM, you’ll maintain the systems and processes that enable our small team to do its best work.

The role is part-time and ongoing, at SCHADS Level 5, working 22.8 hours across three days per week in a hybrid arrangement based in Melbourne.

How to apply

View the full position description and apply via Ethical Jobs. Applications should include your CV and a cover letter addressing the selection criteria.
