Shane O'Neil Sub-Fund
The Shane O’Neil Sub-Fund has been founded to further the leadership and capabilities of young women and gender diverse people. Sub-Fund founder Shane O’Neil is an educator, communicator and lifelong traveller who has spent her life observing the power of bringing people together across difference. Inspired by what she calls “the Circle of Women”, this Sub-Fund embodies Shane’s conviction that when young women come together, they find their voice, build connection and create something new.
Purpose and Focus
How does the Shane O'Neil Sub-Fund support women?
Leadership is about turning awareness into action and advocacy. Too often, young women, girls and gender diverse people are still left out of the opportunities, networks and spaces where that kind of leadership grows, especially those who have historically had less access to opportunity. As the first VWT Sub-Fund dedicated entirely to their leadership, the Shane O’Neil Sub-Fund supports initiatives that give them the time, space and real support to grow, connect and practice leading.
