Jean-McCaughey

Jean McCaughey Social Justice Sub-Fund

This Sub-Fund recognises the significant contribution of Dr Jean McCaughey AO to the Victorian community. A champion of social justice values, Jean was a tireless community advocate, researcher, and author.

During her time as the wife of Victoria’s Governor, she was well known for her egalitarian style, from opening Government House to the public, to accepting patronage of more than 100 charities chosen specifically for the value of their work. This Sub-Fund continues that legacy by supporting research and action addressing the systemic inequalities facing women.
