Alison McClelland

Alison McClelland is an independent consultant specialising in social policy and facilitation.

She is currently Chair of the Good Shepherd Australia and New Zealand board, Victorian President of the Australian Social Policy Association, a member of the Australian Gambling Research Centre’s expert advisory group, life member of the Brotherhood of St Laurence and on the Program Committee of IPAA Victoria.

Alison is also a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victorian division). She has previously been a Commissioner with the Productivity Commission, held senior positions in the Victorian Government, at La Trobe University and as a Director of the Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL), responsible for social action and research. Alison was awarded the Centenary Medal for her contribution to social policy and social research in Australia and made a Victorian Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia. She has also co-edited three editions of a book on social policy in Australia.
