About Me

Candy has extensive experience on the issues associated with reforming Victoria’s statutory framework for women’s sexual and reproductive health choices and designing more integrated government responses to violence against women and children.

In government, Candy held positions including Minister for Housing, Minister for Energy and Resources and Minister for Ports. Candy is Chairperson of Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre; Board Director of Women’s Health Victoria; Trustee Director of First Super; Board Director of Australian Council of Superannuation Investors; Chairperson of PrimeSafe; and Board Director of Haven; Home, Safe.

Candy is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.
