City in the Community’s primary objective is to develop and grow the Melbourne City Football Club’s existing football programs to create positive social impact within the community. The Club’s community outreach program has engaged with over 500,000 young Victorians using the power of football to promote health, education and leadership development and to create safe community spaces.
City in the Community also aims to forge closer links between the football club and the local Victorian community, with social responsibility an essential part of the fabric of Melbourne City.

This project will use sport to strengthen the connection between dads and daughters. Dads supporting their daughters to play sport will break down barriers to sport for young women and change the way men view and support female roles in sport.
Alma and Albert Tivendale promoted physical activity like dancing and sport. They also knew how to help women in need of medical support and these are the projects this Sub-Fund is looking for.
