The Women’s Mural Documentation Project is a collaborative community arts project researching the history of the mural “From Bomboniere to Barbed Wire” painted by Megan Evans and Eve Glenn and located in Smith Street, Fitzroy.
They are seeking stories and offerings, such as photos and anecdotes from community members about the creation of the mural in 1986 and its 30 year history, including ongoinginterventions by the public since the defacement of the mural in early 2016.
Even if you just want to tell them what the mural means to you, whatever your involvement with the mural and no matter how small your contribution is they want to hear it! We’d love the community to help complete the picture by sharing ideas, recollections, photos and more. For further information and to get involved, click here.
