Maree Davenport is a former member of the parliament of Victoria, serving from 1996 to 2002.
She chaired the Health committee and was Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Human Services, was Chair of the Redundant Legislation Committee and Deputy Chair of the Regulation Review Committee of SARC. She was also a member of the Building Appeals Board of the Victorian Building Authority. Maree was President of Wavlink, an educational service provider for adults with disability for nine years.
She currently chairs the Building Advisory Council, a Statutory Authority comprising of senior industry members which provides advice to the Minister for Planning. Maree also serves on the inaugural Monash Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Dandelion Wishes Gala Ball committees.
Maree is an ambassador for Carlton Football Club, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of Women on Boards. Maree is also a Principal at Phoenix Public Affairs, a government and corporate advisory network. She has three children aged 22, 19 and 12.
