Why should advertising consistently get away with demeaning images and messages about women?

Sometimes, it just seems too hard to make any sort of difference when faced with yet another clever and subtle way in which women's gender is put down. If you want to support the Women's Trust in a pro-active way on this particular issue, think about using your very real consumer power by doing the following:

1. Ring up the company concerned and ask for the position and contact details for the head of the organisation (Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer).

2. Write/fax or e-mail this person, making it clear you will now NOT consider purchasing the product until you see a public apology and the withdrawal of the ad.

3. Suggest to as many other people as possible that they do the same.

4. Make a formal complaint to:
