The Trust has been used to taking on some big projects, such as small business incubator, Business Matrix, over eight years, Purple Sage over four years and Ordinary Women Extraordinary Lives over three years. But the Watermark Australia Project was the biggest of the lot....we put in seven years of prolonged effort and intensity.

Business Matrix 1995 - 2005
Three Commonwealth grants and some of our own privately-raised funds enabled us to create and manage Business Matrix, the first  and only Australian business incubator primarily for women.

Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Lives 1999 – 2001
We commissioned Mothers Art to create and help us tour to fourteen regional Victorian locations, Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Lives, a 2001 Centenary of Federation exhibition.

The Purple Sage Project 1997 - 2000    
We initiated and led the Purple Sage Project in the late 1990s, a community dialogue process on issues of concern across the state made possible  the support of two wonderful, passionate and generous female donors.

The Tarka Project
The Tarka Project grew out of our on-going work around women and water.
Thanks to private donor support, we were able to bring about a unique event in Melbourne on 27th February 2010 – Precious Music, Precious Water.

Completing The Picture 1991 - 1992 
Women Artists and the Heidelberg Era

We committed $25 000 to underwriting the costs of an exhibition – Completing the Picture – that brought together for the first time in Australia’s cultural history, the impressionist paintings of the ‘lost women of the Heidelberg era.’

We started the Women’s Enterprise Connection (WEC) as a way of supporting women’s business ideas and initiatives.
