| Thank you to all the Year 10 girls who have joined Vida's Voices - Young Women Speak. Competition preparations are now underway. The topic for the prepared speech is: Choose one issue you think has been important in positively changing women’s status in Australian society and include what you see as some important consequences.
Some issues you could cover -
- Work place relations (pay parity, affirmative action, equal
rights, family and parental leave, career structures)
- Health care, women’s reproductive rights (abortion, contraception)
- Human and civil rights, laws (anti discrimination), equal opportunity
- Presentation in literature, Portrayal in the media
- The suffragette movement.
