The General Grants Program, and the Sub-Fund Grants program are all open for application.

Applications close 5pm Monday 30th January 2012.Decisions are made by Trustees in July 2012.

1. General Grants Program

The Victorian Women's Benevolent Trust's annual grant program is open for applications. This year our General Grants have a major focus on projects which foster partnerships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous women and girls, within the broader context of addressing economic, cultural or social disadvantage experienced by Victorian women and girls. We also have 5 Sub-Fund grants, each with a specific purpose, now open for applications.

2. The Con Irwin Sub-Fund
For initiatives tackling discrimination, violence and inequality of educational opportunity.

3. The Essie Burbridge Sub-Fund
For initiatives that build bridges between European, Middle Eastern and Asian cultures.

4. The Johnstone Gumption Sub-Fund
For initiatives that engage women as active citizens, harness women's experience and wisdom and support indigenous women's health literacy.

5. The Prue Myer Sub-Fund supports projects for immigrant, refugee and other disadvantaged girls and women to provide mentoring, improved educational outcomes and engagement in political life.

6. The  Moira Rayner Fund  for Equal Opportunity
For initiatives to help women take action to protect their rights and, in particular, supports their right to complain, and assert their claim to equal treatment. Read more


Important considerations in making your application:

Eligibility
We are unable to fund individuals. Applicant organisations must produce evidence of Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status and Income Tax Exempt Charity status upon application. (For more information, see the Australian Tax Office website in the Not For Profit Section. 

Timelines
Our Grants program each year opens mid October.

There is one application form that covers the four categories of grants. However you will need to select one category only from those offered.

The Application Form also has some general guidelines that need to be followed.

Final Decisions
All grants decisions are made by the Trustees of the Victorian Women’s Benevolent Trust. These decisions are made in July.
