My wish to help disadvantaged women is as strong as ever.....There are many of us who have had education and family support so that we have been able to overcome the handicaps, prejudices and discrimination, which women have always faced and continued to face. I urge other women to help. Whatever happens, I shall live happily knowing that after I'm gone the Victorian Women's Trust will have become a permanent institution.

Making A Bequest

A bequest can be a powerful statement of your desire to support other Victorian women for generations to come.

It is a practical way to ensure that the Trust plays a permanent role for women, well into the future.

Remember, when writing or reviewing your will, it is important to seek expert advice. A solicitor or trust company can offer inexpensive assistance in the legal requirements of your estate.

Suggested wording for making provision for the Trust in your will:

'I give and bequeath (specific amount or percentage of estate or residue of estate) to the Victorian Women's Trust, Level 1, 388 Bourke Street Melbourne, to be applied for the general purposes of improving the status of women in Victoria, and I declare that the receipt of the proper officer for the for the time being of the Victorian Women's Trust shall be full and sufficient release and discharge to my Trustee for the same'.

If you wish to discuss a bequest to the Victorian Women's Trust, please contact the Executive Director on 03 9642 0422 or email Mary Crooks
